Dr. Virgilijus Baliuckas won the Povilas Matulionis prize

The Lithuanian Academy of Sciences periodically organizes named award competitions for the most valuable scientific achievements in different fields of science.

We are glad that the Povilas Matulionis (forestry) prize went to acad. Darius Danusevičius (VMU) and Dr. Virgilijus Baliuckas (LAMMC, VMU) for the scientific work “Evolutionary origin of the common oak (Quercus robur L.) in Lithuania”.
